Bailey Banks & Biddle closing?

I heard a rumor that Bailey Banks & Biddle is going out of business, is this true? If so I'm sure there would be some heavy discounts on their watches.

Nope...maybe your local one may be closing or relocating.....but I know for a fact they are not.

Haven't heard anything from the Dallas stores. I know that the Dallas ones are no longer Rolex ADs, are they in other states?

None of the BBB around here are Rolex AD's. One of them in the area did just close down, I would guess due to lack of sales. Place was always empty. The BBB's around here carry Omega.

Zale's sold the BB&B branded stores about 6 months ago. There may be individual stores closing, but there are not any plans to eliminate the brand that I know of.

In 1979 I bought my 5513 from BBB in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. I don't know if that store is still there. A few years ago they closed the Montgomeryville, Pa store. I stop in the King of Prussia Mall store and the Willow Grove Mall store both in Pennsylvania, and a Delaware store. I haven't heard about any going out of business. BBB at these stores are not Rolex ADs and haven't been for many years. I don't know about any of their stores elsewhere.

Here's the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER article......it was bought by the same group that owns Carlyle & Co and it is definately not going anywhere. The KOP store just invested buco $$$$$$ to enlarge and build it's already huge inventory of watches and jewelry.

BBB has closed several of their locations. I purchased an Omega Seamaster from the Louisville store 10 years ago. This store and a few other locations closed two years ago.

In the K of P mall in the court JE Caldwell way back I think changed their name for a while to Carlyle & Co, then back to JE Caldwell. That was when I believe they didn't have the store in the plaza also. So, if the company that bought BBB owns Carlyle, would Caldwell have anything to with that company?

Yep......they are all one-in-the same now! But, the best comparison would be like Porche, Audi and VW........all the same parent company, but even my wife knows the difference. Also, I think it has to do with the lesson they learned before when they changed the name from Caldwell to Carlyle back to Caldwell again. Besides....did you see they just took down "the wall" outside the second level right in front of Nordstroms in the Plaza.....Opening their new store, just above BB&B......... looks awesome though......going to try and get pic's soon!

Kurt, I was at the King of Prussia Plaza last Sumday and noticed that JE Caldwell is moving to that new location. It will be a nice and big corner store. And a better location.
