Day-Date real or fake?
Hey
Can anyone help identify the authenticity of this Day-date? Also do any of you have any experience with this seller on ebay 'luxurywatchesnyc' http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-18038-...063dc#viTabs_0 I've posted the link to the item in the case that it turns out fake we can report the seller. Thanks again |

Looks good, with aftermarket bezel, which he states (custom).

Thanks guys, since noone has mentioned anything about knowing the seller and I can't seem to find any info on them aside from their ebay feedback, I want to be sure they didn't just take someone else's images and use them for the listing should I just ask for the serial number and call Rolex to verify it and things match up?

Looks like they do have a website and have the same watch listed
there (for $1k less) add '.com' to the ebay userid. Of course that doesn't really mean anything. Easy to set up a web site. Also web site doesn't have any real contact info (about us page gives an error). Rolex doesn't verify serial numbers that I'm aware of. |

Yeah another thing I just saw that seems strange was looking at the listing here on the website
http://www.luxurywatchesnyc.com/pre-....html?___SID=U It seems on the website they clearly state AFTERMARKET band but on the ebay listing there is no mention of it I was under assumption it was the original thought it was at a good price to be 100% original aside from the bezel |

Steer clear to many fake/aftermarket parts.

People who are not clear about authentic parts are usually trying to sneak something past you... why be so ambiguous about something genuine...
I have noticed a lot of Ebay sellers do this. I think they plan to use an aftermarket unless you ask them something or seem to know a thing or two about watches. At that point they try to sell you on the original parts... |

guy, I don't advise you to buy a watch like this.
1. bezel would be too much, not original so obviously. it's ugly just in my opinion. 2. having some doubt about the dial, logo and the 'R' looks not right to me. |
