F/S Sub Date 16610 LV Anniversary w. Black Bezel

For sale is a Sub 16610LV Anniversary w. all box, papers, links, and accessories. It's a D-serial (2005-2006 production) purchased in February 2006 from a US AD. As seen in the pictures, I recently had the bezel insert professionally swapped out with an authentic Rolex black Submariner bezel. The insert is not a cheap eBay bezel knockoff. This is the real deal. I still have the original Rolex green anniversary bezel too that will come along w. the purchase. Nothing is wrong w. the green bezel. It just ain't easy being Kermit all the time.

The watch is not flawless. There are a few hairline scratches you'll have to look carefully to find on the case. Not easily visible until you sit there with a polishing cloth, stare at it and inspect it very close up. There is one nick on the lower left lug at the 35 minute position. The hairline scratches would buff out, but I don't believe in touching up scratches as I don't want to remove the metal in doing so. The nick will be there unless you take it in for a full service where they could buff it out. I say overall it's a 93% condition to be on the conservative side.

$4995 firm including all PayPal fees (preferred method as long as you have a PayPal verified account/address like myself) and FedEx Standard Overnight (by 3pm) shipping or USPS Certified Mail (purchaser's choice). Note. I will not ship until PayPal has proceeded with the funds transfer. Local inspection and pickup at the SF RSC in Union Square is welcome.

Don't bother with lowball offers as if I don't get this price, I'll just hold on to it.

Just a quick honest question...

If you put a black bezel on the LV watch...isn't it just a normal Sub? Or is there something else on the watch that sets it aside from the normal Sub?

No its not a normal Sub even with the black bezel. The LV Sub comes with a maxi dial with larger hour markers and also comes with a fatter minute hand. Those two qualities plus the green bezel differentiate it from the normal Sub.

That's a fair question. The difference is the "maxi" dial and minute hand. The green bezel is definitely the piece that makes it stand out.

The last part is the potential collectibility of the watch. Time will tell where this model will sit in Rolex history.
