Ulysee Nardin Manufacture GMT Dual Time

I tried on the new Ulysee Nardin GMT Dual time today with the fully in-house movement and I must say i was impressed. I only took one photo ( I actually like the black dial yellow gold one better).
The GMT pushers work great and it must be the easiest travel watch there is as you can go forward and backward with the time (even past date change).
Anyway what do you think?

I may be wrong as i did not write it down but low 20's for all gold around 10k for steel.
I didn't even ask for a discount and the lady mentioned she can do better too so I am sure 20% may be possible. The GMT hour change is smooth as silk.

If that's the 24 hour window at 9 o'clock it appears it slowly scrolls, or does it quick flip like the date on a Rolex?

BTW, what's so unique about being able to scroll both ways on the time / date? I can do that on my 116713.

I have recently been infatuated with them. I was planning on picking up a JLC reverso model in the next couple months but I am really conflicted now as the UN have gotten a hold on me. Funny I never noticed them or even felt attraction towards them in the past till now.

I'm actually not sure but I didn't notice it while I had it on. Maybe the angle

the previous model including Quadratto actually first got me interested.
However the fact that the older ones are modified ETA no matter how ingenious the Dual Time patent aspect is there is just something beautiful about knowing its completely inhouse. BTW the Rotor and finishing on the new manufacture one blows the previous one out of the water. The Rotor has a beautiful lacquered UN emblem on it.

Oh yeah, it's pretty and seems to be very well finished, I just like the slightly edgier styling of the earlier model, but that's just me....I'm sure movement has a lovely finish, it's a UN after all.

I'm not so awed by the in-house as others, this is a late-blooming phenomenon in the watch world, so if I were interested it wouldn't dissuade me from purchasing it, see Zenith Daytona (and earlier examples with Valjoux) and others...

But you're not buying for me, you're buying for you, so get what you like and enjoy!

I'm confused, I thought he said it did have an in-house movement.

Yes, he did. I liked the previous (ETA-equipped) model, and was saying that I personally am not of the "in house movement is requisite for ownership" mindset, though you'd never know it from my last several purchases.

Thanks for the clarification. Any idea approximately when they went to the in-house movement?

Not sure, I would suspect it is very recent on this model. I was actually this close to buying the version I pictured up above, but then fell in love with the GO GMT, which also has a pushbutton detent/advance for the hour hand (only drawback is that date is tied to 24 hour hand but I can live with that):

I believe these models just hit the states. I think it was announced in March of this year.

To Answer this question, with the UN the Date change and hour jump (backwards and forwards) is done with the push of a button with ease as opposed to unwinding the crown on the Rolex. The UN is much quicker and convenient in this sense as you can change the time and date without even removing the watch from your wrist.

I love the ease of use of this feature. I have an Executive a Dual Time and it's a breeze to change time zones. Great looking watches to boot.

Do you believe the new manufacture GMT movement is worth paying a premium over the older eta based model? May I ask how long you have had yours and if you still wear it among that great collection I know you have?
Do you think the buyout buy Kering of the brand will generate positive things?

BTW thanks in advance for your opinion.
