Where it all started...

Back in 1981, this Seiko was on my father's wrist daily. I remember gawking over the design and look.

While at dinner a little while back, I noticed my father wearing it. I told him how much I liked the watch and showed him my AP. (He's not much of a watch guy, but I could see how he appreciated the AP).

After I explained to my wife the history with that watch, my father took it off his wrist and gave it to me.

Gonna give it a little tlc and enjoy it.

It's got a permanent spot in my collection.

This was my dad's watch. We literally had to tear the house apart to find after he passed away. IWC from 1929. Runs like new.

That Seiko given by your Dad is much more valuable then your AP now!

This DD was from my late grandfather, he bought it in the 80s. Still looking good!

I found this Eberhard in my late grandfather's drawer...The condition was very bad when I found it and was told the case is solid gold!

How generous of your father to take it off and hand it over! You'll have to return the gesture! Sounds fun.
