Need help identifying DD dial.

Greetings.... recently dug out this old safe queen from my father's safe. Its an old DD he purchased around 1998. Very interesting dial but he can't remember much about it. So I would like to ask the all Rolex knowledgeable members of this forum to help identify this dial. I tried google without much success. Model number on the receipt is 18238-83858-P04. So can anyone with knowledge about this watch please share whatever you know. We are definitely keeping the watch, but would like to make conversations about it more interesting in the future. Beauty! Dial looks authentic, I've seen similar before. I'm sure people with greater knowledge of DDs will chime in soon enough.

thanks mate, to the OP yes it part of the stone dial range pretty hot stuff at the time, there are 7 variations this is marble, interesting diamond setting also, setting was used used on jubilee aniversary dial also and onyx also, pretty rare mate your is the least seen with opal a close second

Not my taste overall but definitely interesting, and I love the use of only the 9 and the 6.

Thank you Crowncollection. I had suspected it was some kind of stone material. But I have never seen marble with such pattern. Good to know that its all Rolex original too. We will now know this watch is pretty rare and definitely a keeper. Maybe i should bring it to RSC and have the gold polished to restore it original glory. Thanks again.

I wouldn't polish that bad boy. Just a clean with soap and a brush will do the trick. Condition is excellent. Congrats.
