My First Rolex: Coke Bezel GMT II

I have been a long time occasional lurker (since 2007). Never could find the right watch for me. Having owned various Breitlings, Omega, Tags, and a Hamilton, I never had the opportunity to make the step to a Rolex. Financially it didnt make sense.

Now I've taken the plunge with a '91 GMT II Coke that needs a little love.
I have the box and papers (wasn't purchased until 1995). However the green pillow is flaking badly. Has anyone found a source for a suitable replacement?
I dont need a official rolex pillow but a green velvet one would be nice.

It is currently in the mail to Rikki based on everyone's recommendations for a complete service. I want to start my ownership on the right foot.

Here is a before pic. I will post another when the watch is returned.

Scott

Congrats, you will love it! I bought a GMT II earlier this month with both coke and pepsi bezel inserts. You should consider buying the other inserts as you can change the look of your watch as desired. I will probably change to the coke bezel during the fall/winter and back to the pepsi for spring/summer.

Nice!!!! Ever since I first had an interest in watches this was the one for me....I bought mine in1997 and I still love the look of it as much now.

I am waiting for mine to be returned after a service, another week or so to go can't wait.
