Zeitwinkel, Swiss watch brand with in house movement

I would be keen to hear from any member who has had experience of a reasonably new Swiss brand called Zeitwinkel

The manufacturer was created by two gentleman (Peter & Max) in 2006 and their first watch was released in 2009.

They have created their own in-house movement.

I met with Peter last week and we spoke at length about the brand & the Swiss watch business in general.

They produce approx 500 pieces per annum and the model that I an interested in is their 273 with the silver dial.

The base plate is produced using German silver.

I have added a link to their website and in particular the 273.

Please let me know your thoughts & any input from current or previous owners.
http://www.zeitwinkel.ch/our-watches...inkel-273/?L=1

Thank you

Kind Regards

Tony

never heard of them but lovely looking watch. super nice. really like the recess on the lug and the profile. dial layout very nice too. reminds me of the dorneuth (sp?) german watches described in another thread i read here on other watches this morning.

pricey?

They're nice, typical german engineering and quality, dials are mesmerizing, wear on the larger side, some say a bit pricey for what you get but I disagree, they are luxury items after all . . .

Thanks Michael for the photos of your 082.

How long have you owned yours, whats it like as an everyday watch?

How did you learn about the brand?

Quite welcome Tony. I had the watch for about a year but moved it out recently because it just wore a tad large for my liking. It was the smaller 39 mm model but still needed to come down a bit for my wrist (in my eyes). Absent that, it would still be with me probably, daily wearability was fine and it really does ooze beauty and quality. They're putting out some nice stuff imo . . .

Michael, do you mean in diameter or height of the watch?

Both Tony, though in my experience a thinner watch will allow a larger diameter watch on my wrist. The AP 15202 Ultra Thin Jumbo is a good example - larger but thinner than the 15450 so feels/looks better to me. If the Zeitwinkel was thinner, it could've worked better for me too I think . . .

Does the founder of Chronoswiss Mr. Lang have any involvement with this company?

The 273 has arrived.

But unfortunately due to some late developments, apart from checking that all was in order. I have not had a chance to even take it from the box. As the day after it arrived we left early to start our holiday.

So mixed thoughts, but at least I can take a proper look at my leisure upon our return.

Hopefully, more to follow in a couple of weeks time.

In the meantime my Patek Philippe 5167 fulfils the role admirably :)
