How does Platinum wear

So how does platinum hold up to daily use compared to stainless? Ive heard that gold is a bit on the softer side and loves to collect dinges. Same with platinum? Im wanting to pick up a platona to add to my rotation.

I've read platinum to be the most durable precious metal, but still not as strong as 904L stainless.

I think platinum is actually more corrosion-resistant than stainless steel...

Not in my experience and have owned platinum watches for years! Great daily wearers but so has gold been in my days!

The Platinum Daytona is fantastic, you should definitely get it! It has held up as well or even better than my SS pieces!

well I wear the Platona in the harshest of conditions at the race track, workng on the car, driving, heat sweat everything, it holds up just fine

these watches no matter what the metal all are made to be worn and used, they all show the same amount of wear and tear if taken care of properly

my SS watches get marked just as easily as my Platinum one does if it takes a good hit

I would get the watch you want in the metal you want and wear and enjoy it, period

this is from two days ago and after MANY races, still looks pretty good I think...

last weekend was a test and tune for our year end finale at Daytona in October, if I get a podium hat from that race, you will know about it, it would be better than an incoming thread!!

Don't own a platinum piece but have certainly gathered some info about them in the quest. From my understanding Pt is quite durable, one advantage being you don't lose any metal as wear occurs.
