Tempted
The crown on the new 3 seal Rolex is tight
Thought I might put a micro drop of silicone, WD40, or Sewing machine oil on the crown threads. Applied with a pin, so the amount is miniscule, but lubricative. Thoughts here...? |

Can you take it to an AD? They probably got the right stuff.

I doubt it's the threads that are tight, more likely the o-rings. I would think that anything put on would compromise the seal. I would let an AD do it. JMO.

You need to be VERY careful applying oils onto rubber. Some oils will attack some types of rubber and can destroy them.
As already suggested, take it to an AD. I'm sure that the RIGHT type of oil will help. |

Do not do this. Your AD will sort it out.
