dam ive only had it a few weeks and knocked the pearl againt the door frame,the pearl is fine no crack or anything ,but the metal around it has a scrape on it,i see it with my loupe,the edge of rim has a tiny dent,what should i do i cant take a pic as it wont show up,gutted

These things happen. Watches do accumulate scratches and marks. You have a choice to either obsess about it or accept it. You will be much happier with the later.

Throw the loupe away and move on ,,, its a tool watch its meant to be worn ,subs look better when they are beaten up abit

oh thanks alot guys,you're making me feel way better.im the type to obsess over my watches and perfection.i guess it will probably get more.ive been wearing it daily as that's what i wanted it for

The first ding was bound to happen sooner or later. Best to get it out of the way now!

Don't worry. We've all been through it. Give it time.

It won't seem so bad after a while and you'll eventually forget it's even there.

yep sub c very first ding,im just shocked it happend so soon,but i want to wear it,and not keep it in the box,no more loupe for me from now on

This. Sometimes it's easier said than done, but one realistically cannot expect something worn on the wrist to look perfect over time. I am in the camp that also minds the first marks, but they really do add character to the piece.

That first ding really does suck but if you're going to wear it they will happen. Take a look on the vintage section and feast your eyes on the pics of some 50 year old watches there, I guarantee you that you'll feel better.

Ok think about what you just posted, you can only see it with a loupe and it won't show up In a picture so what is the problem

Maybe the only problem you have is you own a loupe

Relax and enjoy your watch, life is a journey don't sweat the small stuff or it will keep you from enjoying your watch

I went through this last week...scratched one of the end links on the bracelet. I QA quite distraught but now it first even bother me.

The sub is quite a scratch magnet. It has many sharp edges that can be dented quite easily. I almost wish the case was more softer around the edges like the yachtmaster. I would get it fixed if it bothers you and try to be more careful. However it will probably cost you some change.

Come on man. Cheer up, it's a watch. The goal is to turn it into a vintage piece. Some of the best vintage pieces have missing oysters, cracked bezels, and all kinds of stuff wrong. They have character and soul. One day it will be a watch with thousands of stories to tell.

Look at this beauty! (picture borrowed) think of all the amazing experiences and places this watch has been. Do you think the owner was worried about scratching the bezel or whatnot. I don't think so.

im over it.thanks for the encouragement guys,i can barely see the issue with the naked eye.and im sure ill get more dings and scrapes in the future,as i wear this badboy everyday without fail,oh and that pic of the diamond dot smurf is beautiful

Send it to RSC or ABC watchwerks. They can replace the bezel insert for you.

Shoot, you scratch one of those pricy hunks of steel just by imagining it! And then they wear it like a gawdawful wound, as if to mutter, "look what you've DONE to me!"
Scratch a Sub, it says, "looks good bro! Make another one!"
I'm glad you've come to terms with it. No watch looks as good with scars as a Rolex Submariner. One day years down the road, you'll actually treasure it more for the signs of love and the years spent together.
