Experience With RSC's
Has anyone had experience with an RSC "tightening up" a bracelet, specifically on a DD President (YG). Were you happy ? How much of the dreaded "stretch" did they remove ? I called over to the Beverly Hills shop, and they said " a technician would have to look at it before proceeding".
Any comments would be appreciated, I am very hesitant to send anything to Hong Kong for fixin', ( I have read rave reviews on that fellolow Michael at classic watch). Or, if any one knows of an American shop that repairs bracelets, any word please? Thanx, Kevin |

The President Bracelet
I just got a President in YG (circa 1987) but flawless and barely ever worn per RSC.
Per the bracelet and stretch- I too have wondered and am soooo careful not to apply any force to damage it. (True GMT at heart). I have asked the same question and heard it can run upwards of $1000+ for the bracelet to be "unstretched". More often than not I hear...."You can get a replacement bracelet from Rolex for $6k and just switch them". Not a course I would like to take. I wish they would use SS pins to hold the bracelet together and not the 18ktYG. Perhaps steel would be stronger. I will keep you posted if I hear anything more. Try NOT wearing it when doing push-ups.....or clapping too hard. |
