buzz generated by the rolex tease

i think what rolex did is fantastic. it's been a lot of fun watching the forums all day today as this thing has unfolded and new information has been discovered.

rolex probably has no idea how much these communities have done with their little tease.

thank you rolex for great watches and a great day of posts!

You wouldn't believe that most here are probably 30-60 years old

Yes Basel has generated a lot of buzz in the forums just days before the event. Rolex is very clever and creative in creating that teaser they have in their website. What a perfect way to get us excited!

Imagine how active the forums will be during the days of Basel and shortly afterwards.

Actually on Day One of Baselworld which is this Thursday, I plan to stay signed online on TRF the ENTIRE day so I can get the latest news the moment it comes right out of Basel.

Dang, I don't know how you guys find the time to spend on the forums all day. I pop on early am before work, a few quick times a day on my Blackberry while at work and a little bit after dinner and before I go to bed. Not a lot overall.

I think everything in the teaser was thought through, and will make sense with hindsight.

What is the sound in the background? Your heartbeat? An oil-rig?

It sure has generated A LOT of buzz for people like us that follow everything Rolex does.

But I imagine for "normal" (i.e non-WIS) people, it hasn't even registered on their radar!! LOL

And the funny part is that Rolex is actually calling it (meaning the web page) "The Tease". I looked at the HTML page's source code today and in there is a file name called "Tease"...

On the HTML version, the picture show function is found in a server side javascript file so there was no picture file to find in some secret directory

I believe the original point was that people here are not as young as the childish and overexcited nature of their posts may indicate!

This being a compliment, of course

Maybe it's my office firewall, but after clicking "English" on the main page, all I get is a black screen.

Welcome to the fray, RKA... I see you have your cheerleader on hand to cheer you on during your first purchase. I wonder how the AD would react to that?

Thanks so much. I am hoping for a new submariner from the show but if it does not happen, then I am leaning towards the SS GMTIIc.
I have read this forum for two months. You guys are a great help once you learn to interpret the numbers and letters you use.
I hope one day to have something to offer.

Picture is daughter. Cheerleader/dance team at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill.
Hoping for new bigger submariner @show. If not, SS GMTIIc.
What do you think?
