Vacheron Overseas...how does it wear??
I have been eyeing the VC overseas for a while now. Particularly the 47040 Deep Stream on strap. My problem is, I have no VC AD anywhere close to try one on for size. I have a smaller wrist at around 6.5", and I absolutely love how a 40mm ceramic sub or GMT fits. I just don't know if the 42mm VC will be overpowering or not. Any owners care to comment on how this watch wears?
Many Thanks.

When I tried one on it wore a little bigger than a 15400 royal oak. not sure if that helps you.

Vacheron Overseas...how does it wear??
Wears a tad large. I also have 6.5" wrist. Here are some crappy pics in poor lighting. I thought the fit was fine.

Thank you both for the very helpful replies. Chris if I remember correctly you have a 15400? How would you compare the wearability of the VC to the 15400 on a 6.5 wrist?

I did have a 15400 for a short while before I traded it. Eventually picked up a 15300 instead. I was never really happy with the way the 15400 fit me. It just looked like it was wearing my wrist instead of the other way around if that makes any sense. The AP wore much larger than 41mm IMO. I did not feel that way with any of the VC Overseas that I've tried on. Of course your best bet is to try them on when you get a chance. My 15400 wore too big for my liking.

That's good to know, I have been eying the 15400's in RG on strap for my next watch to save for (after the potential VC being discussed here) and that pretty much rules it out for me. The 15300 is such a easily wearable size for our wrist size. I may just have to look around for another 15300 in RG when that time comes! As for the overseas, I think I can pull it off, but if not I'm not scared of a good old fashioned flip if need be!

Update!
I got a VC Overseas and I think it fits great. It actually does not wear as large as I was expecting on my 6.5 wrist. I believe the flat profile of the watch helps a lot. I think I have added another keeper! .

I have one. A tad larger than a 40mm GMT, but still thin and fits under a cuff easily. Very comfortable on the rubber, I will have to try the gator in the fall. I have about a 6.75" wrist. These shots may be a little too cropped, but it think you get the idea.

Thanks Ken, great pictures and very helpful. It is looking like the Overseas might be at the very limit of my comfort zone, but I think I can most likely pull it off. The more I see it the more I like it. And going in blind has never stopped me before, Heck I once bought a 15300 RO without ever having held a AP before!

Flat is what I'm after! There are so many Offshore models that I really like, unfortunately they just aren't in the cards for me due to the case height. Same with PAMs. I can deal with a larger size but its the height that makes a big watch look "clown like" on me.

Congrats!! I think the VC Overseas fits well on a 6.5" wrist (mine is the same size). I've tried it on before and also think it fits better than the 15400, as I think for a RO the 39mm fits better on my wrist.

Thanks Gents! I am really enjoying it so far. For some reason I always seem to overthink this stuff for hours, then end up getting the piece and its never a issue. #WISproblems
