Fat Lady: Fake Dial or Just Redialed Poorly?
This is from a long time TZ member, so I don't want to accuse him lightly.
The minute track on this thing is hideous, and the "Swiss" notation is actually cut off! Usually only fakes are this bad. The rest of the watch, including movement shot, look fine. What do you think of the crown? Is this a very bad redial or an outright fake dial?

The coronet on the dial and the texture of the paint on it looks very weird too. Maybe the dial is aftermarket. The rest seems ok to me.

Is the Jubilee band on it listed as aftermarket? It has solid center links when it should hollow center links. Unless they put a new style Jubilee bracelet on a vintage GMT.
Sorry, if this is explained in the listing, I was not able to open your link. |

That dial is not OK. Either a poorly re-done dial (doubt it) or a fake dial.

Bezel insert is about the only thing that looks correct to me. The bezel itself looks off, the crown horrible and the case has some angles that don't feel right. Lets not even talk about the dial... ouch.

Here's the TZ ad:
http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...34#msg_6846836 The bracelet is noted as generic, which is fine. I can't believe that anyone who's been around as long as he has wouldn't know that the dial is simply an abomination. Seriously, I've seen really cheap Chinese fakes that look better than that. I see that no one on TZ has reported his ad.
