After shooting with my D3x, I pull out my D700 again>>>>
because I feel it's get better pics in the studio. With the new light panel I'm in for a give it a new chance.
So I start to clean it up with a new cleaning system. Let's pack it up. The end is made of rubber that is adhesive and will take care of the particles. I put it gently to the sensor. Furthermore, I clean it with a paper with a stronger adhesive than the tool. I got me a little dirt. And a depth of field test. Now I will use this camera for a few weeks and see how it performs.

Jocke, I'd really like to see a "howto" thread on what you do to take these amazing shots.. how you get the lighting, backdrop, your choice of lens...

It's a Nikon 105mm macro.
A tip is to download "exif viwer" add on to your browser and then you can right on the pic and see whats used and the camera settings if the photographer don't hide it.

Stunning pic! You could sell that one to the guys who make the Rubber B! They could sell a lot of straps with a pic like that on their website!

Great cameras and a brave man
I received my d610 shortly after it was released and noticed a huge piece of debris on the sensor. Upon inspection it was a tiny piece of foam from the mirror box surrounding. I hesitantly picked it off using a loop and cotton bud and luckily left no lint. I've wanted to clean my sensor ever since but haven't plucked up the courage. As it happens I haven't used the camera much. Probably less than 800 shots in around 10 months! |

Thanks guys.
Nope, you see the dirt with no DOF. The easiest way is to shot against a white paper, then you will see every particle.

Camera talk in the Rolex forum? Maybe this is better suited in the off-topic discussion sections.

Jocke, I am shocked Rolex has not approached you yet....their website will look so much better with your photos.

That was a lot of surface dirt. Makes a subtle difference I can't see here, but did you notice less lost pixels in the raw image?
