Decided on a Sea-Dweller, now what

So I posted for some advice a few days back deciding between a transitional sub or SD. I did some thinking and looking and have settled on the SD. I have a GMT, so I already have a relatively thin, sports watch. I want a classic diver and the SD fits that better than the sub.

Now on to what to buy. I have a couple questions.

I have found a couple of transitional models with service dials. Not sure why anyone would turn in a matte dial for a gloss service dial but there you go. If it is factored in the price, is there any reason not to buy one with a service dial and look for an original dial? Are they super hard to find?

Second question is about the reliability of the 3035 movement. Newer 16600 with superluminova dials and 3135s are in the same range as gloss dial 16660, and half the price of matte dial versions, so am I being silly looking for an older model, particularly with the difficulty in finding good matte dial examples.

Thanks for all your help and hopefully I can show of a great watch in the next couple of weeks.
