New purchase today and is a cleaning cloth supposed to be in the box?
So I bought a new GMT BLNR today. As my friend and I were checking the watchband box out he asked if I dropped the cleaning cloth. I told him I never got one. So question is, am I suppose to have one in my box?

It's more of a padded dust cover than cleaning cloth.

I had one with my 114200 bought 8 days ago, it could have been an old-stock box though that they gave me....
Why would they try and save a paltry amount by not including such a cloth? It may not have done very much, but given that it was the same colour material as the lining at least it gave a nice finishing touch to the contents of the box.....IMHO anyway. |

Older boxes have a light green interior and have the top cloth to lay over the new Rolex. The recently shipped box's insides are very light beige. They do not have the extra cloth to put on top of the Rolex. Some AD & Rolex Boutiques have a large supply and are still using the old boxes. My guess is sometime in 2015, the stock of old will be gone, and all the boxes will be the same interiors.

Forget about it. If you need a cloth then I'd recommend these--

I was just wondering the same exact thing!
I purchased a BLNR and Z Blue Dial Milgauss last week and got a smaller box with no Cleaning Cloth. I purchased a D-Blue DSSD yesterday and it arrived today in a big box with a cleaning cloth. I was confused |

Next we'll see watches in the For Sale thread described as "post cleaning cloth random serial."

I didn't get it in the box with my submariner but the retailer gave me a special cleaning cloth gratis. It depends on your negotiating skills.
