Trying a new place...God is in a good mood!
After a casual (Carta Blanca included) lunch and easy going rainy (VERY) afternoon, we decided to try a new place for dinner...

Looks like a Royal feast to behold.
Serving sizes are so huge these days. Recently I was horrified to discover that a single standard serve of red meat is 65g (fish/chicken = 100g) however most of the steaks sold at my local BBQ Grill Restaurant are between 250-600g. I stopped eating and detoxed for 2 weeks to let my stomach shrink. I hope I am on the right track. It is not about giving up delacacies but just bringing some moderation into the equation. Thanks for sharing, great photos!

Looks tasty.
I have never tried Chapulines. How do they taste?. I've eaten escamoles and gusanos de maguey while on a trip to Mexico D.F. and really liked the gusanos. |

It is a different flavor. Crunchy and not strong flavor wise, think chicharrones. Not my -to go- food but, hey, it is independence month! |
