Eric: Make that takeout for two, Jibo.

Jibo: I'm afraid I can't do that, Eric.

I heard somewhere once that in 35 40 years we could have full sized, human like robots that could become self aware.

Watch out for Skynet.

Honestly, it's a great idea.

What could go wrong, go wrong, go wrong, go wrong....

i have zero doubt we are working toward a skynet possibility.

check out this tedtalks video and tell me you don't see the possibility.

https://www.ted.com/talks/daniel_sua...ong_to_a_robot

if you would rather the crib notes, essentially while the use of drones and their associated technology is increasing exponentially, the humans that interpret the data are overwhelmed at the same exponential rate, each technological advance leads to passing on an increased responsibility of decision making application to the computers and their algorithims….

inevitably the ability of the computers to make life and death decisions will cross the line, the only exception of this inevitability is if you believe it has already happened…imho

Given where technology is the possibilities are virtually limitless.

The devil, of course, is in the details.

Jibo plays into our sci-fi collective consciousness when we think of where it might lead, for good or bad, but spend 15 minutes on the phone with your internet provider's customer service computer and tell me how efficient it could be at anything but driving you crazy.

One word... Hackers.

From armed drones, to a subservient housecleaning robot. I think the first step BEFORE Skynet will be what was visioned in the movie Runaway.

Your household robots program hacked, and set to kill you, or molest your child... Hey, if they can crack the DOD and your bank... A home robot would be low hanging fruit.

I have an employee that says that if JIBO have holes like his dolls did he would get one for each room cause they can talk to him. He wouldn't have to make up conversations and speak in a funny voice for their responses.

He is a very very lonely man!!! and makes me laugh everyday!

He could put a Jibo and iPhone in each room and Jibo and Siri could hold conversations while the owner is at work.
