iPhone 6 queue v's Rolex queue

If you want the new iPhone, you had better join the queue....

apple_store_queue.jpg

Apple fan-boys are very stylish...

DD4B9D4B5C85E07C9D6AEF38A9AA3_h498_w598_m2_cJfnHgBrF.jpg

But the real action is around the corner, where the latest BASEL releases have just hit the shelves! Only one watch per customer please...

I ordered my IPhone 6 phone through my provider and it's already shipped to the local store front. I should have it today or tomorrow. No line up necessary. My Rolex dealer offers the same service.

The idea of queuing for a handset (or any product) baffles me.

That's quite a line at the Apple Store!
I stopped at a local Verizon store this morning. There were probably 30 people in line outside waiting to get in. No telling how many were inside.
I spoke to a guy coming out and checked out his new 6. Very nice. Perfect size for me so no need to look at the 6+, which he said they didn't even have yet.
I'll order online.

Seriously? For a phone? Ahhhh..no. For a watch, maybe. But ONLY if I get to wear a watch headband like the Apple guys. Sadly, Rolex doesn't make them. No hat, no watch.

Ditto here. No sense in waiting in lines.

I never understood waiting in line for something like this. This is a device you have survived your whole life without and you can't wait another few days? Its like iPhone are crack cocaine to these fools.

The last time I remember waiting in a long line was at Disneyland!

No more iPhone for me . . . so no waiting . . . ;)

What will the 6 have more to offer than the 5S . . . .

Why wait in line for something you have not even seen yet. This matters when it is a total redesign. There will be bugs.

<--- I'll let all of the "sheeple" go demo it for me, and work out all of the bugs. Once this happens, I'll go pick up the corrected 6s, and be a happy camper.

Got the 6 this morning delivered to my office. It's nice, it's just what you would expect it to be, a large iphone... It will probably take a little time to get used to the size, but so far, so good!

I live 4 miles form an apple store so I ordered mine and had it shipped to the store rather than to my office or home. I still waited in a 25 or so person reservations line for over an hour. Not worth it.

I saw a thousand or so people, some of whom camped in the garage to get a good spot. Why didn't they just pre-order?

Got mine early this afternoon. I love it so far, but like you said, it will take getting used to the larger size compared to the 5S.

Picked mine up this morning, and went with the 6. The plus was too large for my tastes. Here's pic to give you a relative idea of size comparison to a iPhone5

I can understand queueing for something limited or rare but anyone queueing for hours/days for a phone that will be made in the 10's of millions and easily available to procure in other ways without hassle really needs to reassess their life.

I missed the first shipment of the pre-orders so I canceled it once I realized I wouldn't receive it until October

The line at the Apple store in Miami Beach was a joke so I strolled over to the AT&T store, walked in and walked out with two iPhone 6 in about 20 minutes.

I feel bad for some of those people that wasted a day for nothing.

Should have my Silver 6 through my employer within a week.

Been using a regular 4 from them for three years so I'm pretty stoked...

I was second in line at the Apple Store near me this morning (the first guy in line slept in the store he works at in the mall overnight...). They took our orders in the line after around an hour minutes. I picked up exactly what I wanted 1.5 hours after that: the iPhone 6+ 128 GB! I spent 2.5 hours in line total.

They didn't have many of the 6+. They are in high demand and sold out quickly in the queue....

A crappy pic I squeezed out before trading in my iPhone 5s:

The iPhone 6 (non plus) was easier to get. Despite listing a 4 to 6 week waiting time, AT&T shipped us two that arrived via UPS and FedEx at around 11:00 AM today...
