Don't have a sub don't want a sub so don't share that opinion. Nice pic though.

Unfortunately, they are not strictly for the cool. At least not judging by many of the people I've met that were wearing one. Anyone can purchase a Sub in an attempt to buy some cool, but it still takes the wearer to pull it off.

The Sub didn't make S. McQ. cool.

And according to some, green is the new blue.

It would be interesting to see how the blue dial would stack up against the black and green if it was offered in SS. Pretty sure it would outsell the LV, but think the LN would still be top dog.

Didn't hurt, didn't help. He was no less cool without it though:

He made the watch look cool as much as vice versa. Of course, for the rest of us who are only on the cusp of cool, the Sub gets us in the club.

Saw a fat, old, bald headed man at Cosco today wearing a blue dial sub; he didn't look very cool, but I am sure he was.

Hey Submariner:
Coolest YOU know, but I am THE real cool cat from 1955.
And I wore charcoal slacks with a pink stripe and draped, a pink suede belt, DA haircut, an ID bracelet, skull and crossbones ring, cigs rolled up in sleeve, and a non luxury watch. I never heard of Rolex.

You can't beat that unless you had a 1947-1950 Ford V8 with duals and glasspacks. Especially if it was chopped and channeled.

Chaps

I am currently wearing a sub.

I am 65, portly in disposition and spent the day wearing kharki shorts, a maroon check shirt, sandals and a Panama hat.

I somehow don't think any of the young ladies I walked past today would describe me as cool.

Regards

Mick
