how to remove older style case tube?

which is perfectly round inside (where the stem passes in) and maybe locktighted? I was looking through the past posts without any luck. I am aware that the newer tubes have a special tool for this
thanks in advance

That's a great tool to have. I use a different one, but I like that one too

Here is a thread I started about the Twin-lock case and tube; it has some interesting photos and drawings if you're interested.

Just wanted to echo Richard's comment above. Thanks very much for the effort you put into sharing the information and your experiences John.

Typically they are bought in sets, they aren't expensive.

But if you have access to buying just one.......http://www.irwin.com/uploads/documen...tion_guide.pdf

I've been using the 1/8".
Because it tapers, it fits all the old style case tube sizes that I have come across.
