Farting Dog!
My lovely wife bought a Boston Terrier a couple of years ago for the kids at Christmas and what a disaster. The dog turned out to be blind in one eye, deaf, and god forbid DUMB: and I mean dumb. I have always had working dogs and never wanted this type of mutt. Pedigree my A$$. So that would seem to be the problem, aye? NO. I have had a little bit of a set back lately which seems to be the onset of Alzheimer's. No surprise to any one here who cares to read my dumb posts. So that must be the problem. NO! I have no problem walking around the neighborhood naked saying this is my gun and this is my other gun. I have to admit it is a little disconcerting for a passenger, on the plane I am flying, to recognize me as their neighbor. So by god this must be the problem that has me so upset. NO!
The problem! I now have a dog that the family has disowned becasue he FARTS constantly and he loves me and spends all his waking hours next to me. What the hell do I do to deserve this. No joke. This dog can fart with the best of them. |

My aunt's Boston Terrier is a terrible farter too. Sometimes it even wakes him up, he turns his head and looks at his butt as if to say "Whatever could that have been?"
He's still not as bad as my uncle's eighty pound boxer |

Kai is right, the vet will be able to do something to help the dog and you out. Maybe some tablets or other treatment.
Good Luck

Seriously, what's the quality of life of the dog? He's blind on one eye, deaf, ... disowned... and probably some real illness if he's farting all the time...

you can give the dog herbal supplements to counter the gas. I just don't remember the name atm. I too have a Boston Terrier, and he too at times has gas and the smell I swear smells like or worst than human! :o) he's my bud! If the guys cant fart together then what is this world coming to?? roflmao

Do you think Bean-O would work for a dog? I bet the vet would have some ideas...

Wife took him to the Vet and said he is healthy as can be in spite of being half blind, mostly deaf, and very flatulent. The fix for the dog is a herbal pill that makes the DOG's farts smell like an ocean breeze that has a little paper mill smell mixed in. Since the dog has now bonded with me, the Vet's suggestion is to live and let live as the dog now has a friend. Since he is now my dog, I have changed him name from Buddy to Flounder; as in the fish with eyes on the same side. Google Boston Terrier and you will see why. He is a great dog and I will make sure he is taken care of.
Now for my problems. The wife has suggested either neutering or an assisted living home. Too bad for her that the homes do not take pets. I will get back to you guys on the neutering. |

I just had to open up this thread. I laughed so hard I almost peed in my pants.
Poor, poor, pitiful, popping, pooping, portly, pugnacious, pouting, pooper pet. He's probably happy to share his flatulence with someone who cares. Better thee than me. I would say if you can't share your farts with your dog then what's the sense in being. Tao Terry Newton
