Camera: iphone 5s vs. iphone 6

Can anyone comment on their experience with these two cameras? I understand that the iphone 5s has image stabilization while the iphone 6 has not. What about the quality of the photos? What are the major differences? Camera is always King for me. A relative is giving me her iphone 5s since she just bought the 6.

I haven't been a big camera person but I went from the 5S to the 6 and the camera on the 6 is noticeably better. Both phones do have image stabilization. The 6 plus which I do not have additionally has a optical image stabilizer.

The camera in the 6 is much better than the iPhone 5. Can't comment on the 5s, but was there a huge upgrade in the camera from 5 to 5s?

Taking pictures in dusk/dark is much much better with the 6. The 6 is so much better on the whole, as everything happens instantly, no lag whatsoever.

5 is fine for when you don't have a compact camera with you, but, i would rather not spend the money to upgrade to 6 and instead purchase a quality compact (canon S120 or G7X, for example) with wifi capability to transfer pictures to your phone for occassional sharing, rather than trusting all moments to a camera phone.

I agree. I've have my trusted DSLR, and my compact 35. It's those moments when I have neither that I need a trusted snapper. I always have a phone with me, currently the iphone 5, but it just lags too much--among other issues it has.

I have an iphone 6+ and the camera is excellent. With it, my P&S days are over.

When I want to take high quality pics, like on a vacation, I'll still use my Olympus OM-D E-M5.
