firearms and jewelry insurance

I've been wanting to do this for a while, and I think it's time to do it now...

I have a two tone GMT II, wife has a datejust and several other jewelry that we'd like to insure.

On top of that, I have several other firearms I'd like to insure...

I spoke with Geico today and it would be 88 bucks a month for 25K worth of jewelry, but they are limited to 1,000 on firearms (I have several firearms that cost over that)

I want to keep all prop insurance under one roof, so I was curious if you guys can recommend anyone that insures jewelry and firearms under one roof. I have USAA for bank, but they don't insure in FL :(

I would also like loss protection, not only theft.

I'm looking at JM and noticed that you have to get your stuff appraised...

Well My GMT II and my wife's datejust were brand new when we bought them (have receipts from Mayor's) if I appraise it now, surely it won't be the cost of a new one. but if these get lost or stolen, I don't want to get someone else's used watch, I'd like new ones. anyone how that works?

I hate insurance, one big safe is all I have. People are silly sometimes (not saying you are) but if someone breaks in and get tax returns, SS cards, birth certificates and other stuff with financial information it's be 10x's worse than your watches and things that go bang.

It weighs 285 lbs, is fire proof to 1550 degrees for 2 hrs and water proof, it's bolted to floor, nobody is going to get that out of the house. Plus, my condo has an alarm.

My safe didn't save my wive's $4500 tennis bracelet she got as a wedding gift from my parents when it fell off her wrist

It also wouldn't have saved my GMT II when a screw came off, and the watch came off my wrist as I was watching TV on the couch a month ago :(

It also wouldn't have saved her other bracelet that came off (link broke) in the kitchen few weeks ago either!

I'm not so much worried about theft, but more so about loss

Out of all the bad luck, we managed to have 1 disappear on us... Still haven't told the family their wedding gift has gone AWOL :(

We have USAA and I think we pay a "rider" for household jewelry, etc. A few hundred a year and it is for replacement value, so you send them an appraisel with the retail cost (not what you paid). Includes theft outside the house.

With JM, just get a retail replacement appraisal for your watches, and insure them for full value. If there is a lost, you will be able to buy a new watch.

The firearm one is interesting, you insure it, because you're worried it'll get stolen during a robbery, but what you're doing, is putting a weapon in the hands of the criminal. Ironical...
