Let's date this Rolex map of Switzerland
I picked this map up the other day, published by the Swiss Hotel Association but heavily sponsored by Rolex with a Datejust advert, Rolex-heavy advice on shopping for Swiss watches, a list of Swiss Rolex dealers, and more. It doesn't have a printing date on it anywhere, but there are some clues. The Datejust in the ad was probably the latest model at the time, and Hans Wilsdorf was still running the show. My guess is late 1950s. Anyone care to take an educated guess?

Yes, probably mid-late '50s. Definitely post-1955 because of the cyclops. Nice find!

Thanks Adam, I hadn't considered the Cyclops. That narrows it down a bit.

Interesting, NY office address back then is listed as 580 Fifth... a building full of jewelers that anchors the Fifth Avenue end of the more wholesale-oriented 47 Street diamond district. Rolex US, the RSC and the Wempe-run Rolex boutique are all now at 665 Fifth--six blocks further up in the prime stretch of luxury good retail shops.

Hard to put an exact date but pretty sure everyone is spot on because in 1960 they became COSC certified instead of OCC

I noticed that there are no lug holes and the bracelet has full D shaped links. Is that an artists' view ? When did D shape came along replacing folded links ?
From the shape of the end links, this must have been a gold model.

Might be a candidate for framing
