Travel

I think I already know the answer to these questions but I'll ask it anyway :D
When you travel you keep your watch on through security right?
Also does anyone live over seas have property insurance on their watch locally?

I will be living overseas for the next few years and plan on insuring any jewelry I bring locally since my regular home owners insurance will be going away.

I personally always leave my watch on. The airports in Chicago have never asked me to take my watch off. My father-in-law packs his watch in a bag and then puts that bag in a briefcase. Good luck on your trip/new living arrangement.

Don't need to take your watch off in the airport security line and insurance is a good idea

I leave my watch on going through security (both metal detectors and the newer body scan ones).

I leave my watches on my wrist when traveling through security. In 25+ years of business travel, I was only asked once (at Frankfurt Airport) to remove my Rolex.

Leaving it on is allowed at almost all TSA checkpoints. Only once was I asked to remove it. As I put it in the little tray that was thrust in my direction, I had a sinking feeling. But nothing bad happened.

So if you don't want to run that risk, you can always shove it in your carry-on and retrieve it once on the way to the gate.

Thanks all.
I'll leave it on and hope I get one of the lesser crazy attendants.

I leave it on. If I am going somewhere urban, I bring Casios and leave the heavy artillery home.

Leave it on, I've never been asked to remove it.

I always put it in my handbag, before I enter the airport.

Here in Holland is is not allowed to keep your watch on.
