AD Discounts - sub 18k Gold

a member on here Phile (ocwathcing) recommended an AD to me since i am shopping for a YM ii and a sub 18k all gold sunburst blue. I was quoted $28,250 a 17.5% discount off the the Sub all Gold. Is this a good discount for an AD? What are all gold sub owners paying out there? should i pull the trigger?

There is a trusted seller in for sale section that has an BNIB YG Blue Sub for 25,800. I would go this route if it were me.

Make sure you love it at that price. Because of all the older yg Subs that sell for 14-17k these will take a massive hit when you resell in a few years.

I don't think AD's are doing enough on precious metals models with all the available information on the net. It's virtually indefensible. You could get probably 27-30% off on TRF or elsewhere.

AD's say that all the time to keep you away from the internet. Hardly ever true, and only in a small number of cases.

I would love to shop at your guys' AD where you are getting 25 - 35% off of a precious metal Rolex watches. Please share the secret of how to get nearly dealer cost on one of these beauties because I am obviously doing something wrong.

Not always from an AD, but from my experience they can definitely be obtained 25-30% off from other trusted sellers which obtain them from AD's by the way, so there's no possible way this is close to AD cost or the trusted seller wouldn't be making money either.

I'm sure AD cost is much less.

I know that type of discount is available here on the grey market, but the posters I mentioned specifically said AD's and gave various percentages between 25 and 35%. I have around $90,000 worth of purchase history with my AD and have been dating and living with one of the sales associates for about a year now. She cannot even come close to that kind of discount for me and I would like to think I am in a position to get a deeper discount than most people. Just curious.....

My AD gives me minimum 30% off on PM Rolex, although I bought three in the last month from him alone.

I also get excellent discounts on SS models....and GASP I managed 17% off a stainless steel black dial daytona.

There are discounts out there to be had. Its up to them as to how much they want to discount.

I couldn't get more than 20% off from my local AD who is also a member here, so a trusted seller is probably your best bet for more if you are in USA. A truly superb watch so worth hunting around for the best deal.

Then she doesn't value your relationship as much as you can get elsewhere...and I don't mean that negatively, as she might be a high volume AD and has no incentive to discount heavily because she can just sell it to the next guy.

I know, for instance, at a flagship store in Costa Mesa, these kinds of discounts are totally impossible. They won't discount on SS and 10% at most on gold. High volume..

Yeah that AD is no bueno when it comes to getting discounts. I heard they sell around 200 Rolex per month so they feel no need to discount. I only window shop there. Then buy elsewhere for much less.
