no, not a bad idea! 372 is a great reference (as is the 114060). but, consider going for a used 372, as prices are quite soft with that model due to (relatively) high production numbers.

trade at the right price and no worries.

I've owned some very nice PAMs but the 372 leaves me wanting no other Panerais. Quintessential is the best description.

Take away the plexi, add sapphire, subtract the faux patina, and it would be perfect. Just me probably though....

I think the 422 is better. Similar but better. But that's my personal preference.

+1. I'm a big 114060 fan, and own one, but if you can only have one PAM, the 372 is it (and used/grey market prices on these are absolutely incredible right now).

With Panerai, it will condition you to keep buying because we see Panerai Watches, Strap, Sharing every day !!! Highest brand recall ever and without a paid sales person.

I just got a pam425 yesterday and I am already shortlisted another 2 models for my next purchase. Talk about short live joy !

As I recall Sidney Thomas at Providence Place carries Panerais. Not too far from you. Not too late to buy yourself a Xmas gift.

Well I'd say your wrist is more made for a DSSD than a sub, so I can understand...

Take away the plexi and you destroy the character of this wonderful watch
