gold Rolex if given one choice.

If given one choice for a gold Rolex which one would it be. Please comment and wrist shots are always encouraged.

In order of preference:

1) Daytona
2) GMT
3) Submariner

I've had a few gold refs and I have to say the 718 for me is THE gold watch to have if only one. Best

The chocolate dial is nice, but the legibility issues you mention seem to come up often. Maybe the new black dial in the picture I posted makes it easier? I haven't seen it in person, so I can't say for sure.

The leather works as a nice middle ground for me, as I still think a full yellow or rose bracelet would feel a little over the top in my lifestyle. Maybe it's a matter of getting used to it.

I like this one. I want to complement it with a WG daydate 2 with a black dial and roman numerals I can pass down to my other son. Cheers!Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418438519.849446.jpg

I'm with the RG daytona on strap, but a Skydweller wouldn't be too far behind. I should probably try them on first

If I had to do it over I would do the ivory dial on strap if that was an option? I think it may be.

I can understand not wanting the full bracelet either, for me I find the strap so comfortable however you have to take off when swimming, even washing hands try not to soak it etc. I like to put it on and forget about it unless I am looking at the time or timing things with the chronograph.

Another point for the Daytona

Has a full day more power reserve than any other rolex as far as I know, also the extra movement complications compared to the subs and GMTs mae it a knockout in my opinion. So if you plan on having other watches in your rotation that extra power reserve is handy. There's a reason it is more expensive than the subs and gMts

It doesn't get more historic or iconic for gold Rolex Submariner watches IMO, and the Submariner is the most iconic Rolex today in my opinion.
