Cases 111 and 312
hello
PAM cases of Luminor 1950 are different from Luminor Base? Seem the same but when I see photos of a 312 and a 111 I think they are different. Both are 44 mm. It seems to me or is there any difference? |

111 is a "Bettarini" style case from the 90s for 40 and 44mm Luminors. The 1950 case is an homage to the style from, you guessed it, the 1950s.
Look at profile shots of the two and you'll notice many differences, chiefly case thickness, shape and lug angle. The 372/422 case is 1950, too, but known to be a transitional model of some sort (a more knowledge person could give more info), with differences compared to the 312-style 1950 case. For me, when I was trying models regularly to find one I liked, I found the 312 sat too high on my wrist and was top-heavy, while the Bettarini case sat much better. Just depends on your wrist and preferences. |

In my opinion, the 1950 case works better in lighter materials (Ti,ceramic),yet Bettarini still sits better on the wrist
AFAIK,the 1950 case on 372 is actually a new design that is also different than the 6152 |

Actually the 47mm 1950 case is as close to the 6152 design as it gets (for now). The design elements are all there. The only difference really is 3mm thickness between the two.
