Is it safe to buy a rolex from Amazon
Buying a rolex from amazon seems to be less expensive than in Europe, in general. Is it a safe procedure ? Is it recommendable?
Thank you. |

I don't think he's talking about a very large, sword wielding, South American woman... I would VERY CAREFULLY read the legalese regarding Amazon itself and sponsored vendors. As a multi-billion dollar business, I would be inclined to feel safe dealing with them but, if the watch is actually being sold by a sponsored vendor, I'm sure some measures of indemnity are in effect for Amazon itself and caveat emptor prevails.

Contact Amazon and check what type of guarantees they give you when buying from a third party vendor. Amazon is great I spend a ton of money there and last week had a new 52 inch lcd delivered to my door in 5 days and saved 100's of dollars over buying it locally.

the rollies on amazon are NOT sold by amazon. they are from 3rd party sellers who list on amazon. I would avoid them.

Amazon.com (I mean sellers who sell via amazon) won't sell Rolex to customers in Europe.
It is safe, no worries, but if you try to order one you 'll see it doesn't work for us here in Europe. There are geographical restrictions due to exclusive distribution agreements.

I'd avoid those 3rd party sellers, most have neg. ratings and amazon is not responsible most of the time for their actions. So if you buy and dont recieve, youre stuck with dealing with a vendor you never heard of, just as bad as ebay.

Agreed. Amazon is not responsible for the actions of 3rd party vendors.

First of all, welcome to the forums!!
I would avoid Amazon all together to be honest. I have browsed watches on there before, you can easily find much better deals elsewhere.

Welcome to TRF!
It always pays to WatchOut. Personally, although great deals can be done online, I prefer buying from an AD for peace of mind and full benefit of the warranty.
