Another 16570 vs 216570 thread..
Which suits my wrist better? I prefer the 40mm but I love the bracelet of 42mm, what do I do?

I would say the 40 is a better fit, but what looks good in your eyes is the right fit for you.

40 does suit you better, but if you are not happy with the bracelet you probably won't be happy with the watch in the long term. I suppose you could put it on a NATO or leather strap?

Smaller watches look better in wrist shot pictures so hard to tell. I went with the 216570 because it fit my body frame and wrist better.

I like bigger watches so the 42mm is what I would buy but the 40mm looks great and the older bracelet is well proven to handle anything the new bracelet will.

I think it is a D-Series but I'll confirm it later. When is the D-series watches from?

40mm, I have both types of bracelets on my watches and I can tell you that the old bracelet is very comfortable and sturdy.
Had the same choice to make and I went with the 16570. |

You can't really tell from those pics and the watches don't look sized to your wrist.
From those pics I'd go with the watch I liked, and its the 42mm one. |

If you prefer the 40mm, I wouldn't change your mind just based on the bracelet.

go for the 216570. It's just a matter of getting use to the new size.

People will pick their personal fave, which in my case is the 216570
I've also owned the 16570 and would not go back to the small size, old clasp, etc Difficult to judge the fit from photos, especially with an unsized bracelet. Best to make your own judgement about this as (again) others will state their own preference.

Just based on the pictures the 40mm looks better. I understand what you mean about the bracelet on the 216570. I had both models and definitely preferred the 216570's. IMO, unless you have at least a 7" wrist anything larger than 40mm looks too big. However, at the end of the day it's always your choice.

The 216570 does indeed definitely wear/look bigger. After one year I flipped mine for a GMTII (40mm) simply because I could never get past the feeling that the EXP just looked too big for my 6.5" wrist.
