My prayers are with Paris, France

It is so hard to hear of the recent terrorist attacks on Paris unfold, my prayers are with the TRF members and their families through this very scary and difficult time.

Dreadful, however they have yet to get whoever it was, so I hate to say it but more to come, guess they'll hole up somewhere but heavily armed it could be many more.

What a savage act.
My thoughts are with the families of the Magazine staff and Police Officers.

In Europe freedom of speech is long gone, made impossible by our overly correct politicians. This is the result.

Quite sad. My mother and sister in law live in Paris (just outside actually). This will only bolster the hatred on both/all sides...

From what I read, this magazine put out constant satire on all religions. The profit Mohammed being in there too. They were fire bombed 4 years ago for the same thing. Salmin Rushdie still lives in hiding almost 40 years later... This is one subject everyone should leave alone... No upside whatsoever.. Hope they capture them

Sorry, I can't agree with your statement to "leave alone". All religions / political parties should be open to satire in a democracy with relative free speech.

The real issues will become evident when we give into those who threaten us for using that free speech. There will be a tipping point in the future in Europe and it will not be pretty but events such as which have unfolded in France over the past 2 days will not be isolated events and I fear that things will get worse before they get better...

Britain and France are not without blame for our historical ills committed against Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa, however attempts to integrate religions and cultures into these respective Western European countries has not been as successful as it could have been; despite all the efforts made by the incumbent populations.

Terrible tragedy. But I believe most people in this world are good people. Don't let these few bad apples skew your perspective.

My condolences... Such a waste of human Lives, whoever did this they're not human...

About the bad apples, if they kept falling from the same tree - how long does it take for us to realize that the tree is the problem?

True. The trouble is most of the tree isn't a problem.

You could argue that most of the mad dog isn't the problem - only the part that causes it to savage you.
