So, how soon...

...can you buy your second Rolex watch?

I thoroughly enjoy my new Explorer 1, so much so that I'm aching to buy its bigger brother, the SD4000 as wel!

Now I'm a sensible and responsible adult. I keep telling myself that one is more than enough, I only have one left wrist, no need for two expensive watches etc. etc. etc.

So when can I buy that SD4000

How long have you had the Exp? I like to space them out a little while I enjoy lusting over whatever might be next.
Otherwise, if all of the bigger priorities are accounted for, then the answer in NOW!

I say, as soon as you can find one. I guarantee you that , the longer you stay on this forum, the more likely you are to buy mutiple watches for that same singular left arm.

All honesty, since you are an responsible adult, I would say let your finances dictate your purchase and also set the goal of buying the SD 4000 with a milestone in your life or an accomplishment. That way, you can always mark the event with the purchase and make it harder for you to flip it in the future. Besides, if you purchase it right away, you will be looking for your third Rolex in no time.

Actually, what this very forum does to you is the following....

... As soon as you bank wire the funds to your trusted seller or pay the AD up front, you go back home the very same day and start looking for another piece to compliment the one you literally just bought lol. It's a dangerous forum!!!!

For me I bought my First Rolex at an AD in 2008 and then joined TRF, and there I was in 2-3 minths later buying a Sub, kept them until 2012 and I made a trade for a DSSD, then in Aug 2013 bought a DJII and just yesterday got a GMTIIc from TRF, for now I think I am done, oh I did get a PAM 005 in Dec 2013 if that counts.

When I joined this forum I said I just want one rolex & that's it. Well that didn't work out the way I planned because I now have three & my wife has two.

Thanks guys! Good to know that I did not turn into a materialistic egomaniac but that I'm experiencing a normal natural reaction caused by buying my first Rolex :)

As soon as I hit send on the wire transfer, I'm already looking for the next one. That's just part of the sickness!

You can always go with the Castro look and wear one on each wrist!

It is a sickness

It doesn't help that I'm quite compulsive. Luckily I have a good rapport with my local dealer. She just laughs when I walk in now.

No time like the present op.

It's Rolex fever, and you're especially at risk immediately after a purchase. If you can get through the post-purchase fever, you'll be in the clear. For a while.

Leaving a space amongst your watch purchases is a neat way. Therefore you will be able to enjoy your present watch until the next one comes in
There is a rumor that DSDD D DIAL might not be available or discontinuation after a while, having a couple of Rolex in my inventory I would not need that watch any sooner but if it proves right then I would regret not ordering that watch when it was available
