There's something special about the rootbeer IMO - I've never seen one in the wild before.

I used to read the daily news with it but for some reason I gave it up. Someday it will come around again.

Bought a used root beer TT 1675 about 25 years ago but found the dial and hands hard to read, not to mention the fact that I just didn't like the look and the lume had faded. I had an AD change the dial and bezel to black and replace the hands shortly thereafter, a look I was happier with. Back in those days they'd return your old parts, so I had it all--then sold the package in 2000 for $2000. Should've kept it since everyone seems to want them nowadays. Should've also kept the TT Sub I had about the same time, but thank heaven I didn't sell my first Rolex, a SS 1675 (ca. 1968), the only one I ever bought new.
