Laurent Ferrier

I know the brand has been mentioned before, but I figured it needed its own thread. I'm not an owner, but the new release for SIHH 2015 with chocolate dial and rose gold case (picture from hodinkee) has me mesmerized.

Would love to hear thoughts from current owners...

I had a chance to handle a Laurent Ferrier watch in my local AD showroom before and have to say the finishing is amazing. Right up there with the best of PP and Lange.

Laurent Ferrier just has that je ne sais quois. Simple, minimalist aesthetic that just screams refinement and quality. Would love to add one to my little stable.

That is a really good looking watch!

I'm not big on brown leather though.

Are Micro Brands going to eventually start grabbing a bigger market share collectively?
this almost reminds me of how Budweiser was the king of Beers and it was always fun to have one in your hand when I was younger, now every time I am with friends there is a new Micro-Brew to try. I like the fact that these guys make the big boys step up their game and you cant argue with the quality but how many of you out there would put 50-60k or more with these companies as opposed to the safe Patek, Lange ect... choices?

Certainly a valid point about choosing to spend money on a brand like this vs patek, etc. whether you buy one or not, I imagine it puts pressure on the industry as a whole to continue to improve

LF galet micro rotor is my favorite 3 hand dress watch, would love to own one down the road. The rose gold + brown dial for SIHH 2015 is absolutely incredible.
