Icon19 Interview with Vacheron Constantin at SIHH 2015

TheWATCHES.tv interviews Christian Selmoni from Vacheron Constantin about their new watches that will be presented at SIHH 2015.

(I suggest clicking on the link to watch the video in full screen and 1080p.)

This is a great year for VC. The entire Harmony collection is beautiful, in my opinion. And that split-seconds chrono... Wow!!!

If you guys don't already subscribe to TheWATCHES.tv on Youtube, you should! They put out really great videos.

Very cool Wes, I'm a huge VC guy, I just really dig their design sense and aesthetic!!

^That

To me, VC is " Under the radar Class",sophisticated, modern with a breath of classic design.Besides, not everyone and their dog has a VC, or even heard of it for that matter.I absolutely Need a Rose Gold Patrimony Traditionnelle Automatic.

I tend to lean toward the design of vc too but I would like to hear how those that have had many in hand how the hold up to the independents and als and pp. Just from the pics and vids it looks like they don't but that would be unfair to think without time in hand

I love this new line, that cushion chrono is beautiful. Looks like a horizontal clutch which while looking fabulous is not as smooth as vertical but that can be overlooked.

I'm glad to see others who enjoy VC as much as I do. I think they are a very undervalued manufacturer.

What makes you think that?

I think VC is right up there with the very best manufacturers. I have yet to handle one in person, but from pics and videos, nothing indicates (to me) that they fall short in any way. In fact, there are a few VC models that I think are quite a bit nicer than the PP and Lange counterparts.

I appreciate your opinion but I don't come to the same conclusion. On the vid there is even some flaws on the chrono hand. Ap, pp, als would never let that happen

I'll have to watch this video again to spot these flaws you speak off, I haven't see any.
It seems to me majority of people are like lemmings, they will follow whatever the trendy thing is, whatever they see on Instagram this week or month. For instance, I remember a few years ago when Hublot came out with their monstrous dinner plate watches, all the Ballers and boxers wore them.Sure enough, others, with more money than taste followed suit.Yet, another example, this time APs ROO, giant sports, ultra tough, "time pieces" hit the market, all the rich kids with pencil wrists and silly multi colour string bracelets to "accent" their " time pieces", posting all over Instagram,The lemmings marched on.Should I touch on Patek and how it's becoming as common as, hmmm ,Rolex perhaps?
Vacheron kept it quiet,I haven't seen any Ballers " rockin'" da VC.

I believe I will end my rant right here, and if I offended anyone, especially tha Ballers with pencil wrists, well, good.
Vacheron is a classy, confident, brand with their own identity.

No problem. The world would be a boring place if we all thought the same, right?

I will say this, though... I don't think any manufacturer is free of flaws in one way or another.

BTW, I like your avatar. Did you pick it because you really like Metropolis?

Curious to know how a monopusher rattrapante chrono works. Since there's only one pusher how many times would you need to activate the pusher to reset the chrono? Thrice?

After initial activation, the first push will activate the split. The second push to stop both chrono hands. And finally the third push to reset?
