Ok I'm happy!
Not to get into last weeks crazy thread, but the President is fully repaired! The watchmaker/repair guy said last Saturday should be next Friday, but maybe 2 or 3 more weeks, depending on parts. Also said give him a call Thursday(today) in case it came in early. I called him up and he said you can pick it up today or Friday. I zoomed out of work and 10 minutes later I had the watch, polished and everything. So far so good. Only bad thing, I lost one of the original pins so he put some steel pin and it's not 100% flush on the 12 o clock side. Small price, but damn I am relieved. I never had the watch polished, so I compared it to some 118238's in some stores and it looked the same, minus the polished lugs. My newish laptop has a decent camera so I'll try to post pics tonight. It was a costly night but lesson learned.

Read all the posts in your last thread and good to see you share the ending of the saga. In this case a steel pin in the DD is better than a steel pin in you. Hope you and the DD are well and post some pictures.

Amen! Yest. went to hospital-snap snap snap staples out, no scar, healing nicely. I'm like 90% better, just a slight purple eye. And not a drop of alcohol since that stupid night!

x2, and it was lucky that such a beautiful piece was not lost or completely destroyed in "the incident." I realize that the lesson has been learned and don't want to beat a dead horse, but there's a reason several of us TRFers have G-Shocks!
