First vintage, 5513

Hello everybody. Posted this in rolex general discussion but this incoming deff belongs here. Today I received my first vintage piece from Nick aka greekbum. He was a absolute pleasure to deal with.

Here's my 1970 5513. It came with original insert but I don't really like the look of the faded inserts so I have a newer not correct insert until I can source a correct one. If anyone has a line on one that would work please pm me.

Thanks everyone for the wealth of information on this forum, I really enjoy it!

I love both inserts. I just bought a lovely 5513 from Springer. Interestingly, I always thought I needed a date, but now, I'm digging the clean lines without a date!

Congrats! Very nice looking 5513.
Your good interaction with Nikos comes as no surprise, he's a great guy.

Great watch!
Inserts are expensive but if you don't like the ghost... Sell it and buy another one with the money

Great piece, i prefer the faded bezel even with the crack at the pearl. You can find nice inserts on the forum but you'll bring looking at $700 and up for a nice one. That said you could probably trade yours for one more to your liking as it has a lot of value

unless the piece is rare, a period correct insert is very expensive. it is hard to recover the cost.
