Questionable D-Blue On eBay!
Hi all,
Just a heads up if you happen to stumble upon this D-Blue on eBay. The dial seemed off to me. And after looking closely, it is off! Look closely at the serif on the leg of the letter "R" in Rolex. The 12, 6, and 9 o'clock plots are off! Also notice the "ft" and the "m" in the watches depth rating. Also how faded "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date" is. The seller has it listed at $10,500. A little low for the watch... http://www.ebay.com/itm/261757028324...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Look OUT!

The listing says "Rolex Sea Dweller, Deepsea - with an aftermarket deep blue dial. The dial was added by Limited-Watches Inc and not by Rolex. Dial is Aftermarket" !

Same seller has lobbed some fake platona dials onto ss daytonas too:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Dayton...item3cf1de728d http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Dayton...item5b0bdcd348 I've been aware for a long time that there are 2 differing watch customer groups: those that are concerned about originality/authenticity and those that are more concerned with looks/price (largely the junk diamond/colored dial/italian band-type). But I'd not before considered that there are those who will pay a huge amount of money for a modern watch that has had fake parts added to make it appear like another legitimate watch. It kind of makes you wonder what the point is and how on earth you can trust a seller of authentic watches that specializes in doctoring them with lookalike fake parts? |

2 more types:)
Well said, I agree. May I add two more watch customer groups? (I will list them like you responded "HELL YEAH!).
Numero 3: The 150mm massive Diesel wearers that scream and warns ladies of a limited underachieving package. Drum role please... #4: The prestige group that doesn't need to think about 25k and always buys direct from AD. (Not me, but maybe some day) Usually I'm way more reserved and under the radar, but I couldn't pass up the chance to poke fun of Diesel and the smaller attributes of some of their wearers. Quote:

Whole thing is fake, if you look in the lower left corner, you see part of the plastic that wraps around the band, not the way rolexes come packaged and typical of replicas

Wow, I missed the plastic wrap on the bottom left. Nice catch, not surprised at all.
