Sea-Dweller value?
Lets say for instance, that a person was thinking of part chopping his 2 month old Sea-Dweller in with a dealer for either a SS Daytona, or the GMT IIc, what would he expect to get offered in part exchange by the dealer?
If he was to think of trying to sell it privately, what would a fair price be for it? All boxes and paperwork with it, like new condition Thanks |

In the UK via an Ad you could expect about £2000 - £2300 if you were lucky max £2500

Value
Hmm. A private sale is probably the best way to go but bear in mind a new one can still be got for a shade under £3K. I'd expect to get £2.2K - £2.5K max although perhaps I'm being too pessimistic.

In Denmark, preowned SD's in good condition are typically going for DKR. 25,000. It's a personal decision, but I for my part would NEVER part with an SD for neither the SS Daytona nor the SS GMT IIc. The polished centre links of the bracelet and clasp will drive you nuts, I tell ya! Must say that I prefer the SD with its understated looks and practical matte bracelet.

Thanks for the replies chaps
I was just thinking about it really, I'll be keeping it I recon I can't afford to have two watches, and seeing as the SD has massive sentimental value, I'd be mad to sell it or part exchange with a dealer, I just wondered how much it was worth though, thanks for that |

The trade-in value of the SD will depend of the price you will be required to pay for the SS Daytona
