PAM312 Service
Afternoon all,
Have noticed that my 312 is losing quite a bit of time recently, around 2-3 minutes per day when I'm wearing it and stops entirely when on my watch winder. I've had it for about 4 years now and purchased from Wempe in Bond Street London. Does anyone know how much a service in the UK is (approximately)? I was going to take back to Wempe as I purchased from them but open to any other suggestions. On a side note, I've also just see the 580, 614, 615 and 616 on the Panerai App on the I-phone and I've searched for release dates and price information but can't find anything, can anyone point me in the right direction? I would very much like one of these to be my next purchase Thanks in advance for any advice. |

There is a 580 on TRF I love the 580. I have a 441 Panerai ceramic is really nice in person. I have been wearing mine everyday for a few weeks now and not a single mark on it anywhere. Good luck!

So a quick update, I wound the watch last night and left on my bedside table, it lost 3 hours over night so seems like something is definitely amiss

Check to see if it is magnetized. Any good watch AD should be able to see if it is magnetized.

Ok, I'm in London in a few weeks so I'm going to drop it into Wempe, they quoted approximately £600 for a service and they send it off to Panerai.

I also have a 312 and the same thing happened a few months after I bought it. I bought it preowned back in November but mine is from 2010. After some research it seems that there was a known issue with this movement, think it was something to do with a spring... Mine was fixed and is running spot on so far.. Take it in..

If its just magnetized, it should be a quick and cheep (hopefully free) fix by an AD.

600 pounds is about 950 dollars. For a 312 service? Really?

They said that was usual price for service/polish but it would take 2-3 weeks for an appraisal.

I recently had my Pam 312 in for service in London. I took it into Selfridges where they have a Watch Gallery service center who are authorised with Panerai. My Pam is an L series bought in 2010. I got a service and had the bezel replaced. Don't have the receipts on me right now, but it was circa £520. Had to pay a £50 deposit/inspection fee. It did take them about 5-6 weeks to let me know of the cost of the service after it was sent for inspection, and then a further 4-5 weeks for the work to be undertaken and returned to the store.

Thank you for the info.
Bought my 312 in 2011 I think so assume it is the same as yours. Off to London on Tuesday to drop mine off at Wempe and to possibly investigate a 580. I'm torn between a Ceramic Pam and the DSSD Blue. I expect I'll not be able to find either for a while! |

I paid 5000 Hong-Kong dollars from the boutique for a 233 when it had gone wrong, for a full service and polish. A 233 is considerably more complex watch than the 312. I would contact Panerai directly I find out why Wempe are ripping you off
