Looking forward to it. Should be interesting to see where they take this season considering he is now at the top which was the entire goal the first two seasons.

I'm planning the same thing. I told my fiance not to schedule anything for us that weekend, because we are starting and finishing next weekend!

Eagerly awaiting it! Going to stretch it out a little, otherwise over too soon.

It's a great show. I can't wait for season 3 to be released on Netflix.

The sad part is that I'll finish Season 3 by next Sunday night. Then I'll be on ice for another year.

I'm looking forward to it. I wonder if we'll get the same ending as on the original BBC version ?

I can't remember if they said Season 3 is the last or not. Would think that with Frank as President, they could stretch to another season.

House of cards - Season 3

Brilliant series. Well made and well written.

Since this has been brought up on the Forum. Anyone watch spotted Franks timepiece?

We finished late Saturday afternoon.

Great cliffhanger as usual...not thrilled I have to wait another year to find out what's next!

Mike and JJ, overall what did you think of season 3? How do you think it compared to the first two seasons? My wife and I haven't started season 3 yet but hope to get to it this weekend.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread as I'm currently watching the third series, about half way through. I'm actually massively disappointed this time.
Storylines silly - e.g. prisoner in Russian cell hanging himself whilst the first lady has a nap a few feet away from him, first lady is ambassador to the UN
Slow boring progress with characters that seem to add nothing to the plot - e.g. Doug Stamper
The general pace seems to be dreadfully slow and it's only Kevin Spaceys great performance that's keeping me involved.
Any one else disappointed with this series compared to the first two ?

I thought it was a boring season. I hope season 4 is going to be as good as the first two.

We finally got around to season 3 and we were highly disappointed as well. I agree with everything you said. Plus his wife was a pitbull the first two seasons, willing to do anything to get to the top but suddenly in season 3 she goes soft and can't handle it anymore? I just didn't buy the writing at all this season and thought season 3 was terrible compared to the first two seasons.

I agree. Season 3 was a disappointment. Too much dramatic weird stuff going on. Doug Stamper is my favorite character but they blew it this season with all that "Rachael" garbage. A lot of the other characters seemed out of context as well. I won't go into naming them. If you watch the show you know whom I'm talking about.
