GMT 2 Diamond face Disgrace?

Would I be going against the Rolex Gods if I did this with a 16710 GMT? I think it is very pretty.

No, the diamonds are subtle and more of an accent and it looks nice. I own a Datejust with diamind markers "8 round, 2 baguette". It's not like there's a 5 carat bezel or something on it which is just ridiculous..

Not my thing but this is totally tame compared to a lot of the stuff out there. Honestly, I think this is way more classy than a diamond bezel YG president. Maybe throw on a red date wheel?

Same thing... it looks too 'crowded'. The extra hour hand, the diamonds... just too much too look at the same time. It sort of 'desperate' for attention. If you must have diamond markers dial - go with the sub. I think the main problem is that extra hour hand. Sub on the other hand looks cleaner without that extra hand.

But it's your choice really.

Not for me, its a tool watch. If ice is important there are other models and brands better suited. But that is just my opinion.

I did have an 18kt/ss GMT II with the champagne serti dial, rubies and diamonds.I liked it very much. This was an original Rolex dial and IMHO looked much nicer than the aftermarket dials in your pics. Both the champagne and silver produced for these models were both sunbursts.Rolex would not fit one of these dials to an all stainless model.

Kind Regards

Nigel

It would be a good gift for a lady or a rapper. But each to their own. Rock it out.

You don't need anyone approval. If YOU like it, Do It.

But, Keep you old dial. The next man may not like it.

Agreed!

I don't personally like it, but since it's not mine, I respect the owner's decision.

Actually if without the diamond, it looks really cool. Like the elusive white panam.

Hmmmmm, maybe, but I like it untouched more. This is still better than the other's shown further down in this thread.

If your tritium lume is already dead, then it wont glow in the dark any more than a diamond would, so why not. But, by leaving it alone you still show good taste as well as restraint. Leave the diamonds to a Datejust?

Your watch, your money, your taste.

If Rolex offers Subs with diamonds on the dial, then I don't see why not the GMT.
