Pull the trigger on the GMT 116710, and then call it a day?
Call it a day for a long time at least.
Recently bought a Hublot classic fusion which I absolutely love. Perfect dress down and up watch. Leather, and white dial. One of the most aesthetic watches I have come across. I am rushing it but I really want a Rolex GMT. Also can't help but feel I need to make up for my time of not having any interest in watches. This is a good start for a collection of about 4/5 quality watches by the next 5 years or so. Thinking of getting the GMT. Steel and black dial, and a stunner as well. Haven't fully made my mind up on the black or BLNR(leaning more towards the black) but feel I can't go wrong with either. Suggestions? |

Congratulations!
Great start with a very nice Hublot. The BLNR would be my choice.

Don't rush it if you aren't ready. The watches aren't going anywhere.
Can't go wrong with either. |

I feel though it is very soon after the Hublot, it isn't a wrong time as I am not financially tied, and could use a nice start on my collection. Also will have a watch to serve for both purposes. Dressy, and casual. The GMT obviously being a much more durable watch for days when that's what I need. |

Both are winners. I have both and would let go of the ln before the blnr because I like a bit of color. Those palm trees have me jealous right now. I am freezing my butt off

Benefit I see on the LN is that it is easy to mix it up with leather/perlon/rubber. Things work easier with black generally. Just like you, I also love the added color on the BLNR. Will take a closer look and finalise my decision before I choose one though. 27 degrees celcius in my side of the world at this time. |

moving a LN now for the BLNR - just need that extra pop IMO and will make a great casual companion to my everyday Subc

Take your time, no need to rush into a decision.
I like the LN better, (but then again I've had both).. but you need to figure that one out for yourself. |

Had a LN. Flipped for a BLNR. BLNR is actually just as versatile as a LN. The blue is not overly striking.

Wait for Basel.
For all we know, Rolex may release a steel Coke GMT (red/black bezel). |

Well I had the BLNR so I would advice that one, very nice watch, may I suggest seeing into Patek? They have the Aquanaut 5167 in SS for around 17K, it's a super watch, thin, ultra comfortable, way more than Rolex and very under the radar, basically apart from a WIS no one will know what you have on your wrist, whereas with Rolex everyone knows what you have on your wrist...
