BLK LV or Ceramic w/ brushed
I am becoming a one Rolex man, love both of these maxi's but need to choose just one.
I have preferd the look of my blk LV until I swapped the bracelets and put the brushed LV bracelet on the ceramic. Now it's not such and easy choice,if I decide on the ceramic I will definitly have the bracelet brushed. I am not a diver or pilot so either will serve me fine, I like each for there different funtions... What do you guys think and why? |

Reversible changes with real Rolex parts or OK with me. But Rolex should have never polished those center links on a tool watch.

IMO, brushed look over the polished look on any given day.

I like the brushed look.
There are a number of folks around the different forums who have blrushed their center links.. It's easy, and it can alwlays be poished later.. Having an extra bracelet is a good to way to go though........

Wow, sub vs. GMT, that's a tough choice! I don't mind the polished bracelet on the GMT, I'd never have the bracelet my GMT IIc brushed, if I had one. I love the GMT's look and functionality, but the Sub is an all time classic. I'd feel bad if I even tried to tell you to keep one over the other! They're both just so beautiful.

I like brushed center links better. Nice look, glad to know it all fits. Thanks.

bracelet swap
yes end links fit perfectly..
I had origionally planned to sell the ceramic, then I swapped with brushed bracelet from my LV, now I am not sure I want to let it go, but really should move one or the other... |

You've got to keep them both. One for swimming, one for flying. For the $5K or whatever that either is worth, that's what I would do.
In fact I'm thinking of adding a Rolex to the collection in addition to my GMT and the LV is looking like the best candidate. The black bezel looks great and as an added benefit the original green stays nice and safe in a drawer.

Brushed looks great on the GMT. Man, what a tough call.

The Sub hands down. You get the maxi dial and the classic case and strap.

That is not a decision that I would like to make.
Good luck.

Ceramic GMT with brushed links is a no brainer

Shoot me, but, IMO I'd rather buy an aftermarket brushed bracelet and keep the original in the box than even consider modifying the original.

Keep the GMT - you can have the center links brushed on the bracelet

I prefer the Sub because I have always thought the clutter of the numbers on the GMT bezels is too much. The lesser numbers on the Sub bezels looks cleaner to me. I prefer the brushed over the polished links.
