Iditarod has begun!!
I'm not sure many on here are dog mushing fans (i'm not really either), but the Last Great Race has begun... My small peaceful town will now get turned upside down by tourists and "events". Mardi Gras for Nome...has just begun!

Did you watch Dallas Seavey come in this morning? Another win for Dallas with his dad in Second. I think Dallas will end up with the most Iditarod wins in history in a very short amount of time.

I did...stayed UP after the wet tshirt contest. Dallas' energy is what will separate him from everyone else for years to come. He runs with his team, while other sit and ride the runners. Leaving the half way point I had him winning...his 50 mile run, 4 hour rest routine played out perfectly. His speed couldn't be touched by any other musher.
Neat seeing Mitch, his father, come in after him.

My parent's neighbor is a big dog sled racer. In fact, she just spent the night outisde testing out a sleeping bad rated to -40 F. Pretty cool to hear her stories.

I wonder if any racer will be wearing one of these. Probably not.
