How many "revolutions" to wind a rolex?

i was wondering if Rolex specifies how many revolutions the watch needs to wind in a watchwinder?

i always just did it by trial and error (my scatola boxes have a 10 position switch that varies the revolutions from 700 - 4800 per day, each way). The lowest i can set it to (700 revolutions each way or 1400 revs total) work fine on my watches.

also does it vary by watch/movement much, or are the movements similar?

thanks

When I called them in Dallas(Forget NYC) they said "be sure to only buy a winder from a AD" (man do they tow the line for them)and be sure it does 800 per day and no more than 15% tilt. She was very nice-I do have a weakness for southern accent's thou.

It has been said that the average person can get 900 winds in an 8 hour day...But I ask, when was that example figured out.

People are just not as active today as they were a decade or two ago....

Orbita watch winders are programmable for direction (clockwise, counter-clockwise, and bi-directional) and number of turns per day. According to the database on the Orbita website, most Rolex watches should be turned bi-directionally for 650 turns per day. There was a separate listing for 4130 Daytona Cosmographs that said that they should be wound in a clockwise direction for 800-950 turns per day. I have a Zenith Daytona so I looked up the recommendations for the Zenith El Primero movement and it is also bi-directional for 650 turns per day.
